‘Insane’ California Mother Warned To Turn Off Car While Pumping Gas Tells Daughter It Is ‘God’s Will’ if They Die

A routine stop at the gas station took a surprising turn when a young woman urged her mother to switch off the car engine while refueling to avoid blowing up. However, she was only met with a firm refusal and a startling response saying that if they died, it would be โ€œGodโ€™s will.โ€

Alexis Wyborny, a California influencer with 139,000 Instagram followers, shared a video of a questionable interaction with her mother. She and her sister sat in the backseat while her mom sat on the passengerโ€™s side. The driverโ€™s seat was empty, but the car was still on as they were pumping gas.ย

Wyborny requested that her mother turn off the vehicle for safety reasons, but she refused to oblige, replying, “You are not in control of when you die.โ€ Obviously stunned, the influencer replied, โ€œIf you left the car on and we died, it would not be Jesusโ€™ fault, it would be your fault.โ€

Adamant, Wybornyโ€™s mother said, โ€œIt would be Godโ€™s will, honey.โ€  Her sister also argued with the motherโ€™s reasoning, saying leaving the car on was โ€œlike jumping out of a plane without a parachuteโ€ and saying it was Godโ€™s will.

Failing to see their point, the influencerโ€™s mother went ahead to explain to them that God had already chosen the day they were going to die. She also argued that God knows the number of hairs on their heads, and they canโ€™t choose the day they die. โ€œYou know this; you went to Christian school.โ€

When Wyborny shared the hilarious conversation on Instagram, users called the mother out for being illogical in her reasoning. One user commented, โ€œWhat a lunatic. The delusional stuff in America is truly insane. The absolute narcissism of these folks that the creator of the ever-expanding universe is counting her hair. Just insane shit.โ€ Another user sarcastically remarked, โ€œGod obviously wants you to die today while pumping gas.โ€

One individual blamed religion for the motherโ€™s actions, saying it makes people โ€œstupid.โ€ Another argued that her actions were pointing to โ€œclear beginnings of dementia or Alzheimer’sโ€ because she is unable to differentiate between reality and non-reality.

Other users tried to attribute her actions to drunkenness. One asked, โ€œIs mom drunk?โ€ And another hilariously replied, โ€œSurely it was godโ€™s will for me to be hammered on a Wednesday afternoon.โ€

One further assessed the situation and commented, โ€œNot sure whatโ€™s worse, the motherโ€™s arguing points or the fact that the daughters are nearing the wall, but still the ones in the back seat.โ€

Wybornโ€™s video was abruptly cut off, so it remains unclear whether she could convince her mother to turn the car off in the end.
