The 28-year-old officially launched her own perfume brand at the online store, Orebella.com, in April 2024, impressing fans with her unexpected business move. While Orebella operates predominantly via its online store and in the pop-up shop previously opened in New York City, the model is looking to expand her empire, beginning with an official UK debut in Selfridges, London this month.
As part of her brand promotion, Bella Hadid granted interviewers question-and-answer sessions about her Orebella perfume line, sometimes highlighting the symbolic meanings behind some of the fragrances. However, one interviewer quickly realized that despite the 28-year-old’s playful demeanor and candid approach, some questions were off the cards.
Bella Hadid Dismisses Question About Her Toxic Exes
During her sit-down with Elle UK, the interviewer chipped in a trick question about Bella Hadid’s relationship, particularly with her “toxic exes,” seemingly deviating off script. The interviewer asked,
“What if I’m meeting up with a toxic ex? I want to make him want me back. What scent would be the best for that and why?”
Caught off guard by the question, Bella Hadid quickly regained her cool demeanor and looked right at the camera with a more serious expression as she fired an impressive response that shut down the interviewer for good. She shot,
“Don’t make up with your toxic ex. I’m not giving you any ideas with my fragrances on how to get your toxic ex back. We’re not doing that in 2025.”
The curt response, which has racked up praise for the Orebella founder online, proves how far she’s come since her days as a young model. Back in 2022, Bella Hadid went candid about her chaotic relationship history, and how she constantly found herself returning to both male and female exes who had abused her. In an episode of the Victoria’s Secret VS Voices podcast, the star explained how her pattern of returning to her abusers eventually made her become a “people pleaser,” with no sexual, physical, or emotional career boundaries.

Among her most chaotic relationships was her on-and-off romance with Canadian singer The Weeknd, from 2015 to 2019. The two made headlines throughout their relationship, plagued with constant breakups and reconciliations.
