It seems that another celebrity couple may be biting the dust. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have allegedly grown apart and are headed for a public split. The couple, who have a very lost history together, are said to be planning out their Hollywood breakup to revolve around their career moves. So, while they might be thought to be living a happily intertwined life, it seems things are very different behind the scenes.
According to Page Six, sources are claiming that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are on the rocks, and the split is already in motion.
“It’s over,” said one insider. “They are waiting till her tour is over before they split.”
Perry is currently on her Lifetimes Tour, which began in April. The tour is scheduled to wrap up in December, so the singer and the actor may have several more months of pretending to be a happy family ahead of them.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Planning Public Split
While nothing has been confirmed, Perry and Bloom were said to have a lot of tension between them. People reports that the less-than-thrilling reception to Perry’s latest album 143 has been a major source of stress.
“Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,” a source said. “It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.”
It’s not just the album either. The reviews for her tour haven’t exactly been glowing, which reportedly added more pressure.
“She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It’s put stress on their relationship,” another stated.
Meanwhile, Orlando Bloom has been flying solo a lot more in recent months. He’s even been spending time away from Katy Perry in Miami. While the couple is usually seen at Hollywood events or spending time together with their daughter, Daisy, that hasn’t been the case as of late.
Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time the couple has hit a rough patch. The couple dated previously before getting engaged in 2019. However, they split for an entire year before getting back together. They later welcomed their daughter in 2020.
Katy and Orlando Have A Long History
In 2024, Perry opened up about that time during an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
“We weren’t really in it from day one. He was because he had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was like, I can’t do this anymore.”
Katy has never been shy about opening up about her relationship with Orlando. She previously revealed that the couple often have arguments that are “hot and fast” before eventually cooling off and moving on.
It appears that the couple have been up and down before. They’ve come through it to prevail in the past. However, this time, Perry’s rocky album rollout and touring demands might prove to be too much.
For now, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are remaining quiet about their alleged split. However, the writing could be on the wall. For now, it seems like a waiting game to find out the future of the pair’s relationship.
