Are Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom really over? Their relationship has been rumored to be on the rocks for the past few weeks. To make matters worse, reports are now saying that the Lord of the Rings actor is planning to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding solo. Neither Perry nor Bloom has confirmed they’ve split just yet. However, all signs point to there being trouble in paradise.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Not Attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Wedding Together
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have recently become close with billionaire couple Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez. In April, Perry was even invited to join Sánchez on a space trip funded by Bezos’ space company, Blue Origin. Considering the four are such great friends, it comes as a huge shock that Bloom would attend Bezos and Sánchez’s wedding without Perry. That is, unless the two are no longer a couple.
According to TMZ, things are not looking good for the singer and actor. They’re said to be having marital problems behind the scenes. However, that won’t stop Bloom from going to the wedding of the year. A source told the outlet that the Pirates of the Caribbean star might “make his debut as a single man during the festivities.” Instead of sulking around about being single, Bloom is determined to live it up with the Bezos in Italy. “He’s the life of the party, and he’s gonna hit the dance floor hard!” the insider said.
After partying, Orlando Bloom is rumored to do some bar crawling with his long-time friend Leonardo DiCaprio. The two have been spotted hanging out on multiple occasions over the years. They’ve partied everywhere from New York to Los Angeles. With them both being in Italy this week for Bezos’ wedding, it seems the pair is trying to get the most out of their trip by parting as hard as possible. Spending time with the Titanic star is sure to do Bloom some good amid all these headlines about him and Perry.
There’s A Lot of Tension
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were last seen together in public at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March. The following month, the “Fireworks” singer was in the news for being part of the all-women Blue Origin crew with Sánchez. According to the Daily Mail, the space mission caused tension between Perry and Bloom. Like many social media users, Bloom felt that the whole thing was “ridiculous.” Since Perry was proud to have taken part in the flight, Bloom’s lack of enthusiasm hit her hard.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Perry reportedly felt betrayed by the actor accepting Bezos’ wedding invite when he was behind the space mission in the first place. “That’s difficult for her to accept,” the insider said. “They’re already spiraling and now the wedding is another thing that they have to fight about.”
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom first started dating in 2016. Although they briefly broke up the following year, they rekindled their romance in 2018. After getting engaged in 2019, the two were set to get married in the summer of 2020. However, they were forced to call off their wedding due to the pandemic. That same year, they welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove. Flash foward to 2025 and it seems Perry and Bloom won’t ever make it down the aisle as they continue to fuel breakup rumors.
