If you’ve driven on a highway, you’ll know it’s smart to keep your distance from trucks, regardless of what they’re transporting. However, things become slightly more infuriating when a truck’s contents spill out all over the road, potentially onto your car. That said, a Reddit user in Pennsylvania spotted a tar truck with its tar being carelessly leaked “all over the highway, [with] bits falling off every second.” The driver’s negligence causes a scene that is both gross and rather dangerous for surrounding vehicles, not to mention the road is being ruined.

It goes without saying that Reddit is just as upset as the person who took the photo, as the post garnered almost 10K upvotes on r/mildlyinfuriating. “I’m so tired of there being no to little enforcement on commercial and industrial trucks dumping crap and litter on the roads,” remarks one user. “That’s also an insecure load, and makes a f**k of a mess when it sucks into your wheel well,” another person warns. Several more commented on how, regardless of how far you drive away from the tar truck, the gooey ick is still pouring out across the road. “What in tar nation?” one user quips, making one of the best ‘Dad Jokes’ of all time from this situation.

As for how users should respond to a leaking tar truck if they encounter one during their travels, a top commenter recommends that a report be made to the police: “Call your local state police station and report it. They have motor carrier enforcement teams that can enforce unsecured load regulations.” After all, normal residents can’t do much to a company’s industrial products, even if it slightly messes up their vehicle.

That all said, some still wonder why a tar truck is driving across the highway in Pennsylvania in the first place. Some speculate that the tar is the product and not supposed to be delivered via truck. However, to save costs, management is forgoing any special equipment for transportation. Whatever the case, if you get stuck behind a leaking tar truck, remember to keep your distance and inform your local police, as that’s about all you can do.
