In today’s episode of “Karens spotted in the wild,” one group of loud women was demanding refunds inside a Carnival Cruise ship in Long Beach, California, but not in a peaceful manner. As you may know, Carnival Cruise is now a more accessible option for people who want to go on a cruise. However, it has some downsides. Sometimes, entitled people come in and start disturbing the peace of employees and other passengers. Unfortunately, this gives the brand a bad look, and even if it doesn’t happen overnight, it might ruin Carnival Cruise’s reputation in the long run.
TikTok user gadzooks2025 shared a clip on their TikTok account that says, “Upset passengers on Carnival Cruise.” In it, we can see a group of women clapping and screaming for refunds, with one of them even saying, “What do you want? To lock me up in Miami?” While the others are chanting, “Refund, refund!” loudly. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of context, other than the Carnival Cruise ship being at Long Beach, California. However, many people are speculating, especially given the brand’s recent changes.
According to a Reddit post, the reputation of Carnival Cruise isn’t what it used to be. In the past, the concept of cruises was almost synonymous with fancy traveling, and you’d never see situations like this. However, many claim that the low price point has allowed entitled people to come in and wreak havoc for passengers and employees alike. Other users say that Carnival Cruises are now cramming a lot of people inside one ship, which almost always leads to altercations, such as the one you can see in the above video.
As one can expect, many people commented to defend the poor employees and guests of this Carnival Cruise ship.
“Ashamed of Nothing Offended by Everything Contributes Nothing Entitled to Everything.” – One TikTok user commented.
“FATIGUE is real.” – Another user wrote.
Sadly, we can’t grasp the full situation without context. But regardless of what happened, it doesn’t give the right to these women to start screaming inside the cruise to disturb others around them. If they wanted a refund, they could’ve approached someone in charge and talked to them peacefully. Instead, they did a scene that annoyed everyone on board.
