Every town has its fair share of Karens, but lately, it feels like the racist and xenophobic ones are coming out of the woodwork in droves. From New York to Michigan to California, there have been numerous incidents lately with a racist Karen at the heart of the drama. The latest incident? Well, in Ohio recently, another racist Karen was spotted spewing xenophobic hate at a Black man. Her reasoning? Because he had a vehicle that was the same color as hers. Making matters even worse, the target of the verbal altercation was allegedly a relative of two victims from the Emmanuel Nine murders in Charleston, South Carolina, which occurred 10 years ago.
The video takes place on a road in Ohio, and opens with the target of the verbal attack calmly stating, “What did you say ma’am?” The Karen is sat in her black Subaru SUV and is driving slowly with her window down. “Get out of my town you n*gger!” she rudely yells at the man. “Stop following me and copying me! Monkey see, monkey do. I’m done with you violent Black man. Get the f*ck out of my town! I don’t give a f*ck what you do! I’m done with you people.” Some of her following statements are hard to make out, but she sounds very irate.
The man slowly approaches her car, which has come to a stop in the road, though he does keep a slight distance. Hanging out of the window, you can clearly see the angry Karen who is White and appears quite elderly. Continuing her hateful rant, she declares, “I never started slavery. You know, I don’t need to restore your f*cking — Go back to Africa! I don’t need to be around violent sexual creeps. And stop copying me! You got a car just like me! You’re, you’re, you’re, um, violating me and exploiting me, you f*cking god damn low life n*gger!” ending the video, she yells, “And it’s true that you f*cked me over. Get the f*ck out of my town!”
Adding some context to the video is an Instagram post from nonchalant37, who is allegedly a relative of the victim in the footage. They wrote:
This happened to my brother-in-law’s brother in Ohio this morning! This woman is full of hate! He did and said nothing to her and then her hate spewed out because he has the same color car as her. Crazy. But this family has had ENOUGH of white racism bigots! Their grandmother, Ms. Susie Jackson, and cousin, Tywanza Sanders, was murdered in the Emmanuel 9 murders in Charleston, SC — literally 10 years ago! When is enough enough! When will these hateful imbeciles crawl back under a rock from which they came? And when will the leadership in this country hold these white supremacist and nationalist accountable?!?! Enough! ¡Basta! #SickOfIt

Due to the shocking nature of the clip, social media users flooded the comments section to chime in with their two cents on the incident. One Redditor wrote, ““Oh, and you’re copying me. You got the same car as me?” Lol what the f*ck, lady” while another added, “How dare a person of color have as nice a car as me!” Over on Instagram, one commenter penned, “Its always their town but they cant tell you where they originated from. Smh 🤦🏻♂️” A fourth added, “Sounds like grandma needs to be stuck in a home somewhere. She’s obviously lost her damn mind.”
For those unaware, the Emanuel Nine refers to the nine African-American victims who were tragically murdered in a mass shooting on June 17, 2015, during a Bible study at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. The incident was carried out by a white supremacist, and is considered one of the deadliest racially motivated mass shootings in modern American history.
