With Trump once again being America’s president, more and more racist people are coming out of the woodwork. Most of the time, they usually just yell slurs and act extremely rude, but sometimes an encounter with a racist can be downright puzzling. In this recent incident in Anderson, Indiana, a white man suddenly shouted at a Hispanic man who was simply minding his own business while checking his car in a parking lot. Out of the blue, the racist man demanded the Hispanic man show him his ID, accusing him of being an illegal immigrant.
The Hispanic man barely had a chance to get a word in as the white man continued his rant, telling him to go back to his own country. Then, without warning, he jumped into a tangent about cartels. He spoke so quickly it was difficult to follow, but the Indiana man seemed convinced that the Hispanic man was somehow tied to cartels. The racist even launched into a sob story about being 17 years old when one of his friends was supposedly killed because of cartels.
Finding the man’s rambling ridiculous, the Hispanic man chose to ignore him. Somehow, this only made the racist angrier. He took offense, claiming he didn’t like how the Indiana man didn’t show any care about “his own people,” implying that all Hispanic people were connected to cartels. Many internet users found this whole Indiana incident baffling, with some saying they couldn’t understand why the racist suddenly dragged cartels into it out of nowhere.
“Nasty tw*t. I’d rather get rid of him than the normal person,” one Redditor commented. Others suggested this was likely just a tactic the racist used to justify his prejudice. After all, if all Hispanic people were supposedly part of cartels, then hating them would feel justified in his mind.
“When you’re incredibly racist but have a sliver of an idea that being racist is bad, so you come up with some shitty story to make yourself look justified because cartels exist?” another Redditor remarked. Some accused the man of lying outright, saying there was no way he actually had a friend killed by cartels. “Even if it was true, what the hell would that have to do with the guy he was harassing? As if the dude working on his car is helping to smuggle cartel members into the US or something,” another user wrote.
