These days, Americans don’t just have to worry about being targeted by criminals; they also have to be cautious around law enforcement officers, especially ICE agents. Recently, a disturbing incident in San Bernardino, California, has made that danger painfully clear. In this case, ICE agents thought it was a good idea to open fire on civilians. The entire situation began when the agents attempted to arrest a man driving his car with his family in San Bernardino. The agents claimed they were retaliating after the man allegedly hit CBP officers with his vehicle.

However, footage recorded by the family tells a much different story. The video shows the family surrounded by multiple ICE vehicles as masked agents approached, ordering them to exit the car. Feeling threatened, the man and his family stayed inside. In response, the agents smashed a window, which thankfully caused no injuries. Startled, the man panicked and drove off, prompting an ICE agent to fire at the vehicle three times. Luckily, none of the passengers were hit.

The situation quickly escalated into a standoff, with the family retreating into their home while attempting to contact local police for help. Police informed them that the FBI would be called to handle the incident. Naturally, such a dramatic confrontation drew the attention of neighbors, and it wasn’t long before many residents arrived to record the events. In the video, the agent who fired at the vehicle can be seen walking around with his guns drawn. Despite bullet marks on the car, the agent denied shooting at it, claiming he was merely tapping his gun against the vehicle.

Perhaps trying to control the narrative and prevent the full story from spreading, ICE agents were also seen attempting to obtain recordings from neighbors who had captured the incident. Understandably, the residents of San Bernardino refused to cooperate. In one video shared by TikTok user raider_tommy, two agents can be seen speaking with a group of neighbors. When asked who had the footage, raider_tommy responded that the video had already been widely shared online and joked that the agent would now be “famous on the internet.”

Based on the dialogue in the video, this exchange appears to have taken place before the FBI arrived at the scene in the San Bernardino neighborhood. Internet users quickly reacted, criticizing the ICE agents for their reckless, dangerous, and shameless behavior. Many pointed out that these actions seemed like a deliberate attempt to obstruct evidence. “Do they think they can just scrub it off the internet? Everyone saw it. The internet is forever,” One user wrote.
