Road rage incidents tend to be unpredictable. However, a recent one-sided fight between a pedestrian and a driver with a Nissan Altima in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, had a more or less expected outcome. Despite being outgunned, the Philadelphia pedestrian still escalated the fight with the Nissan Altima, resulting in him getting dragged and then run over or hit. Strangely enough, the bystanders appear to be clapping for the Nissan Altima driver:
The viral video was initially posted to Instagram by The Philly Fresh Network early in August, and then reuploaded to Reddit. In the footage, which you can see from the crowd’s perspective, a Black man appears to be already in an altercation with the driver of a two-tone, black and white Nissan Altima. The crowd is apparently trying to de-escalate the situation by telling the Black man to calm down, but he still continued his actions.
The Black man can even be seen hanging onto the Nissan Altima, which then sped away, presumably trying to assault the driver through the window. Naturally, he let go, but to his surprise, the Nissan Altima driver turned around and charged at him, ramming into him and knocking him down while the crowd clapped their hands for some reason, something people online found interesting:

“Nah how they clap when he got hit๐”
“and everyone clapped ๐”
It’s not clear who started the fight, though, based on the video, the Nissan Altima driver clearly finished it. Some people were on the driver’s side, as is the crowd, hence the internet also assumed that the pedestrian was the instigator.
Picking a Fight With a Nissan Altima was Never a Good Idea
So far, the Nissan Altima’s reputation on the internet has continued to become more notorious, largely because Nissan will just about sell the car to anyone (presumably including bad or reckless drivers). Hence, people online believed that the Black man who seemingly escalated the road rage supposedly had it coming:
“His first mistake was messing with a 2 tone Nissan Altima . ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ”
“Bumper already replace from the last guy they hit ๐๐” assumes one Instagram user
“Out of all the cars you couldโve chosen. You chose the crash out 2 colored Altima with NO GRILL. Thatโs like tracking to pump fake a YN with a switch ๐ญ๐ญ”
Of course, there were those in disbelief because hitting someone with a car is not really advisable, no matter how angry or scared you are, as it can easily kill or render someone disabled. So while the crowd seemingly clapped for the road rage incident in the video, perhaps it was a bit much and could even be grounds for the removal of a driver’s license on top of the other charges.
