‘Gangster’ High School Student Suplexed by California Cop After He Attacked His Teacher: ‘Got Humbled in 4K’

Cop probably thought those sagging pants need escalating

While it’s somewhat normal for teenagers to be rebellious, a kid from Lincoln High School in Placer County, California, took it a little too far, and a cop took it even further. Apparently, the student’s teacher walked over to the teenager to discipline him in what appears to be a high school town hall meeting, but the boy started punching and humiliating his teacher. This didn’t end well for the teenager since a nearby cop appeared to be itching to put him in his place, and the cop abruptly suplexed the kid, slamming him straight to the concrete:

In a now viral video uploaded to Reddit by user Bojack1217, you can see that the teacher was scolding the unruly high school student in Lincoln High. It’s not clear what they were arguing about, but some comments surmised that the teacher could’ve been asking the student to wear his pants properly, as they were lowered to reveal his underwear in a “sagging pants” fashion popularized by street gangsters and prison culture. Some comments even made fun of the style:

“‘Im the hardest person here look at how my pants sag. I hope everyone is looking at me, Iโ€™m gonna be a misunderstood superstar someday, canโ€™t you tell from my hat, pants, and demeanor??'” mocks one Reddit user

“I love how everyone cheered, it’s like people are tired of wanna be gangsters or some thing.”

“Manโ€ฆ That’s gonna hurt his gangsterness”

“Kid tried to go viral, got humbled in 4K.”

It appears the high school student didn’t want to oblige, and this led to his assaulting his teacher while the nearby school cop tried to restrain him to no avail. The teacher was rather professional about it and didn’t escalate, deciding to take the “altercation” outside. However, this was ruined when one of the cops lost patience and decided to charge at the kid and suplex him just outside the door.

People Think the Suplex was Unnecessary

That suplex certainly did more than just stop the altercation; it also seemingly damaged the wannabe gangster kid’s school rep and humiliated him since most of the other students who witnessed it cheered for the cops. However, it likely wasn’t what the teacher wanted, given how he tried to get the kid out of the school gymnasium.

Now, despite the raving cheers from the unruly teenager’s schoolmates, plenty of other viewers deemed that the suplex or overt violence was not the best response from the cops. They practically escalated the situation. Some were even worried that the kid might have had his neck or head badly injured after getting bodyslammed by a man twice his size.

“Another young one that needs to be taught impulse control. The fact that he still felt the need to attack the teacher after his removal was a foregone conclusion is something he’s going to need to work on otherwise he’s gonna have a tough future ahead of him.

Edit: I should probably add that body slamming the kid to ground wasn’t the right call either. I’m playing arm chair defense here but I think it would have been enough for security to stand between the kid and the teacher before he kept going.

Edit2: Alright, way too many of you are ok, a few of you seemingly giddy with joy, with a kid potentially getting seriously hurt as a means of discipline. Believe it or not, there is a balance between restraining them to ensure they aren’t attempting to attack others and making sure you’re not injuring them in the process in a worst case scenario,” explains a sensible Reddit user

“Kind of wild the cop had possibly even worse impulse control. If that kids back isn’t permanently fucked he’ll probably grow up to be a cop too,” replies another

“If kid got a brain injury or got killed, his family would have a strong case. Cop couldโ€™ve just picked his scrawny teen body up and out the school, or put him in a headlock. Slamming him on the ground was a stupid risky move.”

So while the teenager was more than a handful of trouble for his behavioral issues, let’s not pretend that the cop who suplexed him was much better. Because that’s a heavy, fully-grown adult who used excessive force on a kid.
