The days for new zombie-slaying and parkour antics are right around the corner, as Dying Light: The Beast is gearing up for its launch. As a way to celebrate the imminent release, the whole franchise is bringing updates and a huge sale for all players to try it before the third installment. From Dying Light being free for a few days to Dying Light 2 getting a surprise update, now’s the perfect time to jump into this series, especially if you want to see a bit of what awaits you in Kyle Crane’s new adventure.
Dyling Light Gets a Free Weekend, and Dyling Light 2 Will Get Its Stamina Patch
Recently, Techland unveiled its Franchise Update for August 2025, showcasing some of the things coming to the three games of the series. To begin with, the original Dying Light will get a free weekend from August 21 to August 25. In case you missed the first adventure, this is the perfect time to jump into it, as the June update brought some visual enhancements that will let you experience Crane’s first adventure before Dying Light: The Beast in all its visual glory.
For Dying Light 2, players will get the stamina patch, which will make parkour feel more like its predecessor, removing all stamina cost from parkour moves. Furthermore, the G.R.E. Mascot Bundle is coming, which includes the Big Globby Outfit, The Squasher, Lil Globby, Playtime Paraglider, and Penny Pusher Token. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s going to be a sale for both Dying Light and Dying Light 2, with the former with discounts up to 80% and the latter up to 70% off.
DLSS 4 Is Coming to Dying Light: The Beast
Last but not least, Dying Light: The Beast just announced that it will support DLSS 4 and Ray Tracing at launch, and you can see everything in all its gory glory in the above trailer. Furthermore, those with GeForce Now will also be able to play Dying Light: The Beast on this platform as soon as the game launches, which is a great way to bring players who don’t have a console or a beefy PC to the chaotic Castor Woods.
So, whether you want to parkour your way into the franchise for the first time or want to try it again, now’s the perfect time to do so, as you’ll get to see how much the series has grown and changed ahead of the release of Dying Light: The Beast, which is only a couple of weeks away from landing.
