The most complicated part of customer service is not the work itself or the long hours standing, but the customers. Of course, there are very friendly customers, but if they were all like that, there would be no stories of Karens and Kens. For example, in this case, a man threw a big tantrum at the Apple Store in Long Island, New York. This man put on a show, providing entertainment and giving the various spectators a great story to tell for a long time.
Redditor TheManager_1 shared a fascinating video on r/KarenGoBrrr. The footage begins at the Apple Store in Roosevelt Field Mall, New York, where a man starts throwing a tantrum almost as big as himself. Several of the present just watched, while others took out their cell phones to record such a spectacle. The man began shouting, ‘Why the f* are you driving me? He said I’m not allowed to f* shop here, right? I didn’t do anything’ yelled the man, increasingly annoyed. This was while several store employees surrounded him in an attempt to talk to him and calm him down, which clearly did not work.
At one point, the staff walked away while two other men tried to take Ken away. During his tantrum, the man continued shouting profanities and telling the employees to be careful. He also continued to complain about why they wouldn’t let him buy anything there, even though he hadn’t done anything wrong. He did this while stomping his foot hard on the floor in a clear display of his skills, imitating an upset toddler. This did not go unnoticed, as user JuanDelPueblo787 wrote, ‘Lol. That little stomp routine while whining “I have the fucking right to shop here,” plus that high-pitched scream, really showed them.’
It was not clear exactly why the man was not allowed to shop at that Apple Store. Although it doesn’t really matter since ‘Whatever reason beingโฆ.his behavior I’m guessing‘ as user victorcaulfield captured. Fortunately, the video didn’t end there, as it’s clear that the staff walked away to call mall security and the police, who arrived to first try to de-escalate the situation and calm the man down. However, as the tantrum-thrower refused to listen to anyone, several officers had to escort him out of the store and the mall in handcuffs. Let’s just hope he doesn’t try to come back to the shop again.
