ICE is always a controversial subject, regardless of the context. Since Trump took office and empowered this agency with more money than any other local law enforcement branch, they’ve been on a tear and upping the ante with their deportation methods. Of course, judges and some liberal states have attempted to counter them with court orders and similar measures. Still, in Dallas, Texas, some immigrants may have had a much tougher time than they should have, considering the prosecutor himself is allegedly running a racist white supremacy X account.
In a post shared to the R/Texas page by user Well_Socialized, a report apparently confirms a Dallas ICE prosecutor is also secretly running a racist Twitter account that supports White Supremacy. Reporter Steven Monacelli did an incredible report for the Texas Observer. The post in question by X user GlomarResponder that caught everybody’s attention said the following.
American is a White nation. We are the historical and majority population, and it was founded for our benefit. Our country should favor us.
Now, that’s not exactly the type of rhetoric you want to see from the attorney who is determining your right to freedom in America if you are a migrant, and despite a mountain of proof against this account, which is being run by James โJimโ Joseph Rodden, an assistant chief counsel for ICE in Dallas. This has sparked an uproar online, with many people voicing their disapproval.
“*Republicans, not Nazis.”
“I’m not sure where you’ve been hiding, but the words Republican and Nazi are now synonyms.”
“He works for ICE. Being a white supremacist is practically a requirement”
“A complaint was also sent to the D.C. Bar. Apparently, it is protected speech and not against the rules.”
“Great reporting by the news agent. They really did their research and it’s quite clear that there’s proof he is a white supremacist in a position of the US government”
The report provides extensive details on Rodden’s past, including his connections to the social media account. Despite the overwhelming evidence presented in this February report, this man remains in office, and it doesn’t appear that any changes are affecting him or his position.
