Creating spooky content for views in theย Content Warningย requires some tools. You only have a camera and an old flashlight at the beginning, but that’s not enough for a high-quality scare show. The game offers gadgets to distract the monsters, and Huggers to heal your friends by hugging them!

Content Warning Items & Categories

  • Lights
  • Medical
  • Gadgets
  • Emote
  • Emote2
  • Music

Content Warning has 6 different categories, with each one of them offering related items. Once you deploy in the lobby, move downstairs, exit the house, and watch your left. You’ll find a board where you get to buy these items with the money you earn from your views.

Lights

  • Old Flashlight
  • Flare
  • Modern Flashlight
  • Long Flashlight
  • Modern Flashlight Pro
  • Long Flashlight Pro

Feeling spooky in the black and white real outside the lobby? You’d need a good flashlight to find your way and check the dark corners for your horror content. The game gives you an Old Flashlight at the beginning, but it’ll run out of battery after day 1.

On the list, we’ve got Flare, which isn’t more useful than the Old Flashlight in terms of usage efficiency. And there’s the Modern Flashlight that holds more battery for your panic adventure. But if you want to capture the scene from afar, or see what’s going on in the long tunnels downstairs, you’ll need a Long Flashlight. Want more battery? Buy the pro versions!

Medical

  • Hugger
  • Defibrillator

The way Content Warning allows you to heal yourself and your teammates is too adorable for horror content. The Hugger item in Content Warning allows you to hug your mates, and heal them. If they’re knocked by a monster, however, you’d need a Defibrillator to bring them back to life. Just don’t forget to film them while they’re down; trust me, more views.

Gadgets

  • Goo Ball
  • Shock Stick
  • Boom Mic
  • Clapper

This is where you can boost your content’s quality of terror. Let’s start with the Goo Ball, which you can slow down the monsters with them. Stuck the monster, film your friend messing with the devil, and use a Boom Mic to record noiseless and more funny/horrific audio.

You can also fill the role of a director in the group by bringing a Clapper to the scene. Clap to start a video, clap to scare your friends; your call. But if you’re in trouble and monsters are trying to pin you down, treat them with a Shock Stick; they love it. Remember to record the clip when tasing them.

Emote

There are two sections for emote items in the Content Warning, tagged as Emote and Emote2. These share the same category, but it seems like the menu can’t house more than 8 items on each page, hence there are two Emote menus. Now the premise of the game is filming spooky things, but how cool is it to do a backflip in front of a monster? Tell the cameraman to record that for more views.

And that’s it for all the items in theย Content Warning. Not to mention, there’s a last section labeled Musicย in the game, which is currently empty. It’s probably future content, or we don’t know how to unlock its items yet.

Content Warning is currently available to play on PC.
