As you join the succession tournament, you will explore the continent and visit various places. While the game will ensure that you won’t miss the most important things, there are some extra actions and items that you can miss if you don’t pay attention. Some of these missables come in the form of side quests, but you can also gather several collectibles in Metaphor: ReFantazio. While you can complete the game without finishing everything, it’s a good idea to try not to miss these.

The majority of the quests you will encounter won’t have deadlines, but there are some missions in Metaphor: ReFantazio that are considered missable. It’s always a good idea to check your map every time you visit a new town. You can usually accept three to four new missions.

Besides missable side quests, you can also gather a collectible called Gold Bettle. This weird insect will show up since the early parts of the game, but you will only understand its use once you reach Port Brilehaven. Near the pier, you can find the Mysterious Old Man who will accept the Gold Bettle in exchange for powerful gear.

Another missable item you can gather is the old relics connected to Neuras’ follower bond. Luckily, they are hidden inside treasure chests, so you are less likely to miss them as long as you fully explore all the dungeons.

Other Missables

The last missable item you need to grab in Metaphor: ReFantazio is a book. While the majority will unlock automatically as you progress through the main story, you can only get this item by talking to an NPC. After arriving at Port Brilehaven, head to the fountain near Angler’s Inn Square and speak with Julian. The man will give you The Magical Future, which can increase your Wisdom.
