Among Us has reached insane popularity in the short time it’s been out. It is a new take on the old card game known as Old Maid. Many streamers have added it to their list of games to play. And it has gained many substantially more viewers each time they sign on. While the game is simplistic in nature, winning a ‘match’ during the game is not. Now everyone can enjoy Among Us on the Nintendo Switch!

Depending on the mode played, there could be one impostor or three. The ‘crew’ must out the impostor before it’s too late. If the impostor can manage to sabotage all the systems, the impostor wins the round.

Among Us Now on Nintendo Switch

With both the game and Nintendo Switch gaining such fame, the move made sense. Because of the recent spike in reputation for Among Us, they left it for the end of their Indie World Showcase. This is the show where Nintendo puts the spotlight on titles from small-team developers and indie games.

You can find the game on Nintendo’s E-shop for $5.00. PC players can find it on Steam for $4.99. It is also available on mobile for free. Previously, PC and mobile were graced with cross-platform play. Fortunately, with the addition of the Nintendo Switch system, Among Us is now cross-platform for all three systems it is available on.

Innersloth plans to add an account system sometime in 2021. This is expected to make reporting hacking easier for players. Developers also have plans to add a ‘friends list’ feature as well. After such features are implemented, fans are hoping to see ports to other consoles as well. Currently, there is also no voice chat feature, so players are currently using Discord. This is something players are also hoping developers will add to Among Us as time goes on.

Are you looking forward to playing Among Us on Switch? Have you played it already? What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
