Angelina Jolie may be looking to avoid Brad Pitt while they’re both in Italy for the Venice Film Festival. However, she’s not trying to avoid British rapper, Akala. The two were spotted leaving a Venice hotel together before the actress headed to a red carpet event for her film Maria. The two looked friendly and comfortable together as they were snapped rocking elegant looks while soaking up some sun on Wednesday.
Angelina Jolie looked stunning in a flowing brown dress. The garment covered much of her body, but used a belt to cinch her tiny waist. She added minimal jewelry and completed her look with a black handbag. She also wore dark sunglasses as she appeared outdoors next to the rapper.
Meanwhile, Akala sported a gray suit with a collared button-up shirt. He rocked a pair of dark sneakers and had a cross-body bag slung across his chest. He was seen walking side-by-side with Jolie, happily listening to her talk.

Reports suggest that Jolie’s schedule was set so that she wouldn’t come face-to-face with ex-husband Brad Pitt while in Venice. Both actors are promoting new projects. However, their long divorce battle continues to rage on, and a reunion would surely spark more drama.
While Pitt has been dating Ines de Ramon for months, it seems that Jolie is also ready to move on. Back in May, In Touch Weekly reported that the actress had a romantic interest in Akala.
“I think a large part of her attraction to Akala, beyond the physical, is seeing him interact with her kids because that is so important to her,” a source said at the time. “They connect over their interest in activism and share a passion for travel and discovering different cultures. It’s been a long time since she’s felt this kind of attraction.”
Meanwhile, fans had some thoughts about Jolie’s rumored new love interest.
“He’s definitely no Brad Pitt. Hope he knows what he’s in for,” one person stated.
“Wow. two very different worlds. Akala is an extremely intelligent, educated, well-rounded man. He comes from very humble beginnings. Jolie has had a silver spoon hanging out of her since birth. She knows nothing of real life, real world problems. This will be interesting,” a second comment read.
“She comes across as being very very high maintenance,” a third observer noted.
“Just friends. There is zero chemistry in these pics,” a fourth person stated.
The magazine’s source went on to reveal that Angelina Jolie is “slowly” opening up to the idea of another relationship following her split with Brad Pitt. It looks like Akala could be a good candidate, especially if he’s traveling to important events with the actress.
