Angelina Jolie‘s growing friendship with British rapper Akala is raising some eyebrows with some of her followers. The two have recently begun spending quite a bit of time together, and some fans believe the relationship is giving off some serious Brad Pitt vibes.
Jolie continues to deny that the two of them are more than friends. Akala is currently involved in a relationship with current girlfriend, Chantelle Newman. However, given Angelina’s history of getting involved with unavailable men, some fans are not entirely buying into the just friends’ story.
Sources close to Angelina tell In Touch that Akala and Jolie have bonded over their love of activism and humanitarianism. Because this is a subject they both feel passionate about, the two have grown very close.
The insider also reveals that Angelina and Akala have many other things in common. They each own their own production companies and are looking for a new project to collaborate on.
“He’s been such a refreshing influence in her life and someone she can really lean on and trust because he’s so discreet. He’s like a vault, and he’s very protective of her and her kids.
“His girlfriend is in the picture and Akala and Angelina were very quick to get the media briefed that there’s nothing going on because he’s attached,” the informant adds.

Now, it seems that Angelina Jolie’s followers are concerned that her attraction to unavailable men could land her in hot water again. “It’s true, his girlfriend is there quite frequently,” the insider continues.
