While the Biebers and TimberBiel drama has subsided for now, the Bennifer and Brangelina sagas continue, with Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh publicly announcing her separation from her estranged father. Per TMZ, she “took out an ad in the L.A. Times newspaper,” a legal requirement publicly indicating that she’s ready to move on in life as Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, not Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.
Angelina Jolie’s daughter reportedly filed for this name change a while back. But now that things are becoming more public and official, Brad Pitt is doubtless struggling to accept the loss of his relationship with his daughter. It was reported that the Moneyball actor was very “aware and upset” of the whole situation, as it meant Angelina Jolie has another “W” that she can smother in his face.
Shiloh started the endeavor for her surname to be legally changed in May of this year. It’s been only two months, meaning the move to have the newspaper ad removed goes to show how eager Brad Pitt’s daughter is to move past him and get on with her life. Shiloh’s not the only child of Brangelina who is on Team Jolie.
According to ET, Brad Pitt’s daughter Vivienne requested her name to be recorded as Vivienne Jolie for “The Outsiders” playbill. TMZ reports there are more Brangelina children who are also following suit, removing “Pitt” from their surname as a means to distance themselves from the Fight Club star. Brad must be heartbroken, seeing how he already “virtually has no contact with his adult children, as per People.
While Pitt might be upset, it appears there are many who support Shiloh’s decision. On a r/Fauxmoi, a Reddit gossip sub, the top comment reads, “Love that she’s dropping his name,” with over 5,500 users liking the statement in agreement. Another comment explained to those less informed of why this was all taking place:
“He abused their mother for years, then slapped one and choked another after he got physical on a private flight. He terrorized them so badly it was one of the flight crew who called the authorities after what they witnessed. I’m glad they’re rid of him; abusers don’t deserve children.”
Regardless of whether these horrid accusations are true, The Big Short lead might be hiding something. USA Today reports that Pitt wants to dismiss Angelina Jolie’s request to bring up the messages involved with the ‘plane incident.’ Very fishy indeed.
