New York City is the city that never sleeps, the melting pot of America, where almost everybody and anything can happen on a daily basis. On one random afternoon, a bus driver stopped on a crowded street, hurled a child off the bus with great force, and angrily shouted at him and his mother, who was waiting on the sidewalk. However, not everything was as it seemed initially.
In a video posted by whyeventrymore on the r/interestingasf*** Reddit page, a caption that states ‘i refuse to believe New York is real‘ captures the incident. You can see a bus pulled over and a burly bus driver hurling a child from the bus recklessly while his horrified and angry mom stomps into the fray, and a huge argument ensues. People are shouting oh my god and some other men approach the bus driver as onlookers help the kid back to his feet.
Only to realize it’s not a kid, but a grown man disguised as a child who tried to sneak onto the bus. In a shocking twist, you can briefly see that the man was dressed like a child, and then the video abruptly ends.
In an even more shocking plot twist, this video isn’t even real; it is a staged video dating back years, performed by a comedian for a YouTube skit. In a video posted by Daniel Jean 56 on YouTube, you can see the 5-year-old video where they practiced the skit as a group.
Reddit folks also had some choice words for the user who posted the clip thinking it was real.
“People ready to get aggressive without even knowing wtf happened. Think the guy would throw someone off the bus for no reason?”
“Kevin Hart kicked off the bus again”
“100% they make all sorts of silly skits. Although I wouldn’t be shocked if something like this happened in NYC”
“Bus driver went from villain to hero in a matter of seconds😂”
Just take this video as a PSA, everybody. Don’t ever believe everything you read on the internet.
