Apple announced new services at their March Showtime Event. Apple showed off its apps already in place but with some new upgrades to them. The apps included Apple News, Apple TV, Apple App Store, and more.

Apple News

Apple first showed off its Apple News service and app. The app allows for news to be seen and curated for all of its users across all Apple devices. The new Apple News+ service brings magazines to the app. Magazines as many thought were dying, but with Apple News+ users of the app now can see interactive magazines geared towards the user. The information is vetted by editors at Apple. Apple News+ is the subscription service by Apple. It is priced at $9.99 a month. But, the entire family can use only the one subscription service of Apple News+ thanks to family sharing ability with the Apple ID. It is available today with the newest update to Apple devices and the first month is free. Now more than ever, trusted news and magazine articles can be seen easier across the world, wherever and whenever.

Apple Services

Apple Pay was announced next. With Apple Pay, in conjunction with the Apple Wallet, users can now use it to gain access to public transportation. More areas to use the Apple Wallet will be making its way later this year. Alongside the newest updates to Apple Pay and the Wallet, Apple announced the Apple Card. Apple’s own credit card. They have partnered with Goldman Sachs and Mastercard to bring this to life. If Apple Pay isn’t accepted, Apple now made a physical card to go along with their app. The Apple Card is all titanium and has no information on it such as card number, CVV, and expiration date. There is only your name and the Apple Logo in the top left corner. The Apple Card allows users to see what they’re spending their money on. Apple is also allowing users of the card Daily Cash. It is their form of rewards for using the card. Daily Cash is exactly as it sounds. Users get rewards in the form of actual cash to use on anything. The percentages vary on what the card was used on.

Apple News

Apple wasn’t done quite yet. They took to changing the way we watch television. With their Apple TV app, users of their devices can have everything they want in front of them. The Apple TV app has all of your paid subscription services such as Netflix and Hulu on there. Any cable subscriptions will be shown on there as well. The main push with the new Apple TV app is essentially a new area for new shows with well known and not so well known faces making new shows and movies. This service will be available this Fall 2019.

Apple took to taking a crack at gaming with its newest service, Apple Arcade. Apple Arcade is their way to work with developers on games that some wouldn’t even dare to make. Apple Arcade will require a subscription to play the games on it. But, once paid for, the entire family again can enjoy all the games online and offline. The subscription will allow Apple Arcade games to be played across all of its devices and adjust accordingly. The biggest thing with the Apple Arcade subscription service is that it comes with no ads. Yep, you read that right. There will no ads disrupting your gameplay. The developers mentioned at the event are willing to push the boundaries of what games are and can be.

Apple has developed amazing hardware and apps before for users to enjoy. But, there has not been services like these to bring Apple to the modern day. These services make Apple a serious contender now with entertainment, money, and news. There is still much to see about all these services but for now, they look amazing. Tell us what you thought about the event and about what services you will be using down below in the comments. For now, keep keeping on!
