We all have that one cosmetic item from a previous season, like Season of the Worthy, that we wish would make a comeback in Destiny 2. One of the more exciting aspects of the game outside of the engaging combat and compelling storyline is the wide variety of cosmetic items. Is it really even PvP if you can’t show off your flashiest shaders and ornaments while you team-wipe? Didn’t think so. After an announcement from Bungie, players have been dying to know: Are Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy items making a comeback? They sure are!

What Does the Season of the Worthy Item Comeback Mean for Destiny 2?

If you’ve played much of Destiny 2 in recent years, then you surely know that the ending of a season also marks the ending of your ability to get season-specific items. There are very few exceptions, but for the most part, if you don’t already have the item at the end of the season, then you likely won’t get it. Typically, this means the armor ornaments and seasonal Exotic ornaments will take off without stopping by to visit in the future.

However, according to the recent TWID post on August 24, 2023, Bungie has announced that they will bring back cosmetic items from previous Season Passes. This nostalgic throwback that Bungie deems “Seasonal Flashbacks” will be available during the 4th, 5th, and 6th weeks of the Season of the Witch in Destiny 2.

This means that in the very near future of Destiny 2, we could have the possibility to purchase some of our favorite cosmetic items from the Eververse store. Do you remember that armor ornament that you thought was really awesome a few weeks back? Or maybe even that weapon ornament from a couple of seasons ago? You might just have the chance to get them again.

With so many past seasons to choose from, Bungie decided to start off with the Season of the Worthy. They’ll be choosing a handful of cosmetic items to bring back to the Eververse Store during the Season of the Witch. Maybe you’ll even get to see something you really like in there.

She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
