Ezio Auditore da Firenze may be finding his way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One really soon. Aย listing for the Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Collection was first spotted on the Korean Game Rating Board by aย NeoGAF user. While there is no specific mention of the games’ content, the common factor seems to be the series favorite, Ezio. Should this collection only include games in which he was the protagonist, then we can expect the packย to include:ย Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, andย Revelations-ย ย all of which have been hugely successful.ย Though we should take thisย listingย with a grain of salt, the Korean Game Rating Board does have a habit of leaking titlesย before their official announcements. One of their more recent leaks whichย held validity wasย Resident Evil 6ย for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Ezio’s three-part story begins directly after the events of the firstย Assassin’s Creed,ย where Desmond Miles has escaped Abstergo, the modern Knights Templar. Desmond then uses the famed Animus to relive the genetic memories of his ancestor, Ezio, who was an assassin during the political and religious turbulence of the Italian Renaissance. If this collection is really happening, itย should come as no surprise. This generation is no stranger to remakes, HD Collections, and reboots, and with Ezio’s trilogy arguably being someย of the most popular games in the series, it is a wonder this has not happened sooner. ย

There is always the possibility that this listing could be false, of course. Until Ubisoft comes out toย declareย otherwise, we should prepareย our wallets until further notice. We have had Assassin’s Creed games releasedย like clockwork, with one coming outย every fall since 2009. By this point, we have come to expectย thisย from Ubisoft. Therefore, it was odd (or possibly a huge relief) that a new addition to the franchise was not announced shortly afterย Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate (2015). Whileย Ubisoft has stated there will not be a new Assassin’s Creed game this year, they said nothing about dusting off the old ones and making them shiny again. This could be a good thing for the developers, as putting out a collectionย willย give themย time to work on whatever is coming next forย the series.
