Argenti debuted in version 1.5 of Honkai Star Rail, and many people are looking for the right build and team comp for him. Besides his jaw-dropping looks and style, he packs a punch with his abilities that substantially change the game’s meta. With essentially a second Ultimate bar and one of the highest damage outputs for characters of the Path of Erudition, this Knight of Beauty doesn’t mind getting rough with enemies and razing the battlefield in seconds. Provided he has the right items for that, of course.
The Best DPS Build for Argenti in Honkai Star Rail
Argenti wields the Physical element and belongs to the Path of Erudition. For those unaware, this Path is all about AoE damage, similar to Jing Yuan’s or Qingque’s playstyles. However, many think that the former didn’t perform that well initially, which means this Path’s redemption is in the hands of Argenti. Yet, before you see him defeat enemies in seconds, you need the following Light Cones and Relics.
Light Cones
Fortunately for some and unfortunately for others, Argenti’s best Light Cone is his own. Where some other Premium characters can use another one to shine, Argenti needs the An Instant Before a Gaze Light Cone. Still, we’ve added a few replacement options that maintain his DPS.
- An Instant Before a Gaze (Best)
- Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 36%. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, it increases their Ultimate DMG based on their Max Energy. Each point of energy increases the Ultimate DMG by 0.36%, up to 180 points of energy.
- Today Is Another Peaceful Day
- After entering battle, increase the wearer’s DMG based on their Max Energy. DMG increases by 0.2% per energy point, up to 160 Energy.
- The Seriousness of Breakfast
- Increases the wearer’s DMG by 12%. The wearer’s ATK increases by 4% for every defeated enemy, stacking up to 4 times.
If you’re going for a replacement one, we recommend The Seriousness of Breakfast. While Today Is Another Peaceful Day is also great, its damage output depends on how much energy Argenti initially has, meaning you might need to use items to increase his energy.
Relic Sets
If you want to increase Agenti’s DPS, there’s only one Relic Set that works for this build in Honkai Star Rail, and we’re talking about the one made for Physical characters.
- Champion of Streetwise Boxing (4 Pieces)
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Physical DMG by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: After the wearer attacks or is hit, their ATK increases by 5% for the rest of the battle. This effect can stack up to 5 times.
- Planar Ornament: Inert Salsotto (2 Pieces)
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer’s Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.
Best Team Comp for Argenti
So far, it seems Argenti’s build works with almost every team composition in Honkai Star Rail; however, there are some crucial characters you should add, such as Pela, the 4-star queen of the Path of Nihility. Here’s the composition we recommend:
- Main DPS: Argenti
- Support: Pela
- Second Support: Tingyun/Hanya
- Healer: Lynx/Huohuo
If you’re going to mix and match, we recommend Tingyun over Hanya, as she provides Argenti with more energy, which he needs to improve his ultimate skill. For healers, Lynx or Huohuo work, and for support, Pela is necessary.
