Limited standard banners aside, you can also create an excellent F2P team build with free characters in Wuthering Waves. These free 4-star characters are balanced units that do their job efficiently and can stand up against other rare Resonators. You will only need some Echoes and good equipment to accompany your team.
Wuthering Waves: Best Resonators for F2P Team Builds
Kuro Games presented several ways to obtain various characters, not only 4-star ones. However, in this guide, I will focus on the characters that everyone gets with the story and not with pulls. Even though they are starting characters, this team will surprise you with its synergy.
Rover (Spectro)
To the surprise of many, Wuthering Wave‘s main character, Rover, turned out to be an excellent unit, especially for those creating an F2P team build. Rover works as a flexible DPS; the best thing is that they could get more elements in the future. With their Spectro attribute, you will need this equipment to make them the star of your team:

Yangyang
She is an excellent F2P character of the Aero attribute, with which you can take advantage of her Cyclone skill to group small enemies; it is quite useful when farming. To upgrade Yangyang as a unit, you will only need the following:

Rejuvenating Glow 5 Set: Upon healing allies, increase ATK of the entire team by 15%, lasting 30s.Main Echo: Bell-Borne Geochelone.Best Echo Stats: CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, Aero DM, Energy Regen. | Sequence Node 2 This chain will help Yangyang collect more energy, which is a very important stat for her building. Sequence Node 6 This is undoubtedly the best Resonance Chain, as it not only gives the whole team a 20% ATK buff. |
With Yangyang, you must take advantage of her Outro skill because when she leaves the battlefield, her energy will be transferred to the next character. Use it to your advantage depending on the situation; if your health is low, switch to a healer, or if you are looking for a combat buff, switch to a DPS.
Baizhi
This Resonator stands out for its adaptability, although it excels even more as a healer, especially in the early game. Being part of the team build of characters that Wuthering Waves gives away, Baizhi is the best for F2P. Besides, there are still very few healers, so to recover from those failed dodges, you need this:

This is the best and most basic F2P team build with characters that appear during the first hours of Wuthering Waves. However, if you get more Resonators, Chixia can replace Rover. Mortefi or Sanhua can also be great sub-DPS options. It will depend on your playstyle or the characters you get. The important thing is that you have fun with the combat while advancing your journey through the waves.
