While many of you might already be familiar with all the items WoW brought for its Trading Post in January 2025, we decided to take a different approach. Instead of listing every single one, we’ve decided to give you our recommendations on the ones you should get and the ones you should definitely freeze for later. With a few steampunk machinations and some cool mounts to show off, you’ll want to spend your Trader’s Tender in the right way.

5. Prowler’s Carrot Gear

Let’s kick off with a simple yet useful one. The Prowler’s Carrot headgear and shoulder cape might not seem like the flashiest armor pieces in the Trading Post for January 2025, but since WoW doesn’t have simplistic pieces like these, they are a must-have. While there are two of them, we decided to include them in the same entry. The headgear has two versions: unmasked and masked, while the shoulder cape works as a shoulder piece instead of a cloak, making way for some interesting transmogs. You can get the headgear for 100 Trader’s Tender and the shoulder cape for 75. It’s quite a cheap price for the two items.

4. Savage Alabaster Battle Turtle

It might not seem like a great choice at first, but who doesn’t like to ride a Blastoise-like mount? The Savage Alabaster Battle Turtle is the next in the battle turtle series that lands on the Trading Post’s rotation. It isn’t a fast mount on land, but when it comes to traveling on water, it is quite fast. You can grab it for 500 Trader’s Tender, which is a Warband Mount, so you can use it with all your characters. Even if you don’t use it a lot, adding a turtle as destructive as this one to your collection is always a good idea.

3. Clockwork Attire

In preparation for patch 11.1, the Golden or Green Clockwork Attires are perfect choices. Since we’re going to the steampunk-ish Goblin lands, this is the perfect ensemble to bring. Here, we prefer the golden version instead of the green one, but you can pick your favorite or both if you have enough Trader’s Tender. Speaking of which, you’ll have to spend 650 on each one. We didn’t list the Clockwork weapons in the Trading Post, but if you want to complete the outfit, consider grabbing a few, too. Each weapon costs 300 Trader’s Tender.

2. Warforged Nightmare

Initially, it was a shop-exclusive mount back in WoW: Warlords of Draenor, but it is now available for everyone as part of the Trading Post in January 2025. It has a hefty price of 700 Trader’s Tender, and while many will hate having this one, it is way cheaper than what it initially cost when it launched. Many players might be against this mount, and with good reason, but hey, having one more nightmarish horse in the crew isn’t that bad.

1. Wastewander Tracker’s Kit

The absolute best item of the current Trading Post and one you should consider freezing if you don’t have enough Trader’s Tender is the Wastewander Tracker’s Kit. It will cost 850 Trader’s Tender, which is a high price already, but you’ll get one of the best transmog sets in the game. It is an excellent outfit that brings some post-apocalyptic or even desert explorer vibes. Plus, it looks great on all races and will definitely fit well with the upcoming major patch. So, if you have the currency, think about spending it on this one; it is definitely worth it.
