Beyonce had a huge fan base, but her most important fans are her family. The singer’s children were said to be absolutely thrilled for the singer when she won Album of the Year at the Grammys for Cowboy Carter. While only her oldest daughter, Blue Ivy, was in attendance at the event, her younger kids, Rumi and Sir Carter, were at home giving a cute cheer for their mother on her big night.
Recently, Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show to share some updates about her brand and her famous family. During the interview, Tina touched on Beyonce’s Album of the Year win, and even revealed how Rumi and Sir Carter were thrilled for their mom, per Hello! Magazine. At home with their grandma, they shouted out a cute cheer when Beyonce was announced as the night’s big award.
“I was sitting there with my granddaughter Rumi and my grandson Sir, and for a second we were just sitting there. And when she [was shocked], I said, ‘Oh, it’s real!’ I couldn’t believe it, I couldn’t believe it,” Knowles said, revealing that she and the grandkids were “screaming.”

Tina went on to gush over 13-year-old Blue Ivy, whom she says is a “jack of all trades.” However, she didn’t say much else about Rumi and Sir. While both Blue and Rumi have been seen during public outings with their family as of late, Sir has mostly stayed out of the spotlight. Of course, fans notice.
“Why Jay Z and Beyonce never post their son Sir Carter…what are they hiding?” one person wrote via X.
“It is strange. The girls are front and center, but it’s almost like he doesn’t exist,” another commented.
In early February, both Blue and Rumi were spotted at the Super Bowl alongside their parents. However, Sir was nowhere in sight. According to The Daily Mail, it appears that Sir may be much more private than his siblings.
Last year, Beyonce admitted that she does all she can to give her three children the most normal life possible. “I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible,” she said. The megastar went on to confess that “no amount of money” is worth disturbing her family’s peace.
It looks like Beyonce and Jay-Z have figured out how to keep her kids safe and comfortable despite their massive fame. While the girls may be more comfortable in the spotlight, Sir Carter might just be the family member who likes to cheer his mom on from the privacy of his own home.
