The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker’s net worth was recently listed at around $20 million. However, sources close to the singer reveal that Billy Ray Cyrus is terrified he will go broke during the ‘ugly divorce’ unfolding between himself and Firerose.
According to OK Magazine, Billy Ray is feeling the financial strain. His previous divorce from Tish Cyrus resulted in a loss of $10 million. So, it is easy to see why the thought of heading back into divorce court is causing him immense anxiety.
Firerose Will Fight Billy Ray Cyrus For Her Fair Share
Insiders reveal that Billy Ray Cyrus is kicking himself for marrying Firerose against his children’s better judgment. Since then, it seems as if everything has been on a downhill decline for him. Not only is he losing millions of dollars, but he has also damaged his relationship with his children.
“He likes to think of himself as a big celebrity, but sadly his bank account is draining, and he better get out there make some music,” the insider suggested.
“Most people don’t realize how dire things are for him,” they stated. “He could realistically be broke in 10 years.”
Billy Ray Cyrus recently gained a small victory in court against Firerose in June. The judge agreed to ban Firerose from using Billy Ray’s credit cards. The judge declared, “[There is] no legitimate reason for [Firerose] to have access to and to make any additional charges” on the cards.
However, the court documents also state that Firerose and Billy Ray Cyrus must “exchange income and expense statements as well as asset and liability statements” by July 11 and participate in “good faith meditation” by August 31.
In addition to requesting the judge ban Firerose from spending Cyrus’ money, he also filed an emergency motion seeking a temporary restraining order. Billy Ray believes that Firerose only married the singer to be taken care of financially. However, once he caught onto her wild spending sprees and shut her down, things between the spouses quickly turned dark.
But for now, all Billy Ray Cyrus can do is wait until he and Firerose face off in divorce court. As far as the singer is concerned, he wants this marriage to be officially over.
