The point of BitLife is to live different lifestyles using the different in-game opportunities and life skills presented to you. You can even become an Italian mafia boss if you try hard enough. However, getting to the top of the gang ladder will still require some effort and patience. Let’s go over how to join the mafia in BitLife.

How to Become a Mafia Boss in BitLife

Unlike most other professions in BitLife, you don’t have to go to school or excel in any particular field to be a part of the mafia. You do, however, need to be at least 18 years of age. To climb through the ranks, follow these instructions:

  1. Choose Crime as your Special Talent.
  2. Do as much crime as possible.
  3. Join a mafia organization at 18.
  4. Start off as an Associate.
  5. Commit crimes to earn your way up.
  6. Never question your Godfather/Godmother.
  7. Earn the role of Godfather/Godmother.

Choose Crime as your Special Talent

You read that correctly. Before you start a life, follow these instructions:

  1. Click on Special Talent.
  2. Select the Crime option.

Crime, Crime, Crime

Now that you’re special talent is Crime, after entering elementary school, you’ll be able to commit crimes. It’s important to note that you can’t just join a mafia family. You need to have a history of crime and so, to do that, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the Activities tab on the bottom left corner of the character’s play screen.
  2. Select the Crime option.
  3. Commit crimes!

Join a Mafia Organization and Make Them Proud

Now that you’ve graduated high school (or dropped out) and are freshly 18, it’s time to join the mafia. To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Head into the Occupations tab on the bottom left of the character’s play screen.
  2. Scroll to the Special Careers.
  3. Here, go to the Mafia option.
  4. Choose which mafia family you want to join by performing some kind of tasks.
  5. If they accept you, you’ll be taken in as one of their own starting as a Mafia Associate.

Commit crimes to earn your way up

You’ll want to earn their trust now that you’ve officially joined a mafia group.

  1. head to the Occupation tab on the bottom left of the character’s play screen.
  2. Select the Mafia Associate option at the top.
  3. Select the Crime option.
  4. Choose any of the crimes, complete them, and don’t get caught!
  5. Any money that you generate to the family should be given to the family.

You’ll slowly begin to be liked by other members of the mafia. Of course, this only happens so long as you’re continually useful and providing income to the family.

Earn the role of Godfather/Godmother

As the years progress, try to climb the mafia ladder through these roles:

  • Associate.
  • Soldier.
  • Caporegime.
  • Underboss.
  • Godfather/Godmother.

It’ll take a lot of time, but as long as you are close with your family and of use to them, you’ll eventually get there. In my experience, you can’t get to Godfather/Godmother until you’re already in your 60s just because of how long it takes.
