Black Ops 6 Fixes One Big MW3 UI Issue At Launch By Ditching Warzone

The all-in-one system of CoD HQ

Call of Duty is making a different decision regarding which game remains front and center on its new UI this year with Black Ops 6, fixing a major issue of last year’s MW3. This change is all about the transition between different games from the CoD HQ, which is putting Warzone as its second priority this time.

Call of Duty changed from launching games by their respective menu icons to a Hulu-style interface in the year 2022. MW2 came with a plethora of innovations on that side, giving us a TV streaming service-looking UI for choosing games and different modes, which didn’t suit Call of Duty that much. But at least, you could jump between Warzone and MW2 in no time.

Fast forward to 2023, and MW3 was added to the menu in a new row. At launch, new Call of Duty titles must remain on their separate islands until the Warzone integration. And that only happens with the new title’s first season, which is almost a month after release. So, during this time, you can not jump from Warzone to the new game without completely restarting the CoD HQ.

Warzone was the frontrunner of 2023, forcing players to relaunch the whole HQ for accessing Modern Warfare 3. And that, my fellow rogue CIA agents, is about to get fully altered with the Black Ops 6 UI system. This time, when you launch the Call of Duty HQ on your PC/console, you’ll go directly into Black Ops 6, which means you’ll have to restart if you’re hungry for some BR action of Warzone.

Now it’s still not the best-optimized system to keep the Warzone players from reaching their favorite game behind two launch doors, but still, Black Ops 6 is the new game, and it deserves the highlight of the new UI.

Speaking of which, the new Call of Duty HQ UI is getting rid of that slider showcase, giving players full access to whatever there is with simple options. Choose Black Ops 6, and you’ll have Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies front and center. That said, the tabs on top for the Home, Store, and other additional pages of the HQ are still in service.

The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 UI will be accessible as soon as October 21, 2024, with the game’s pre-load, and it’ll portal players directly into Warzone/MW3. A few days later on October 25, the new UI favors Black Ops 6 as the main game, putting Warzone, MW3, and MW2 behind the second door.

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
