Blake Lively didn’t receive the best feedback to her 2022 Met Gala After-Party look, with fans largely seeming to think that her dress was just too short. Slipping her curves into a jewel minidress in red, the 37-year-old flaunted her long legs for a show-stopping finish, one quickly making The Daily Mail‘s headlines.
Despite choosing luxury designer Versace for her party look, Blake fell under fire from users raising eyebrows over her hemline, with a popular comment seeing a fan basically saying she hasn’t got the legs to pull it off. Elsewhere, multiple users gained likes for saying that the It Ends With Us star’s dress was quite simply “too short.” Blake had made 2022 Met Gala headlines for co-hosting the bash, held in NYC.

Opting for a corset-effect look complete with scallop hemline accents and pops of embroidered black, Blake sizzled as she displayed her curves and trim waist while keeping girly in cap sleeves.
Injecting a lacy finish at the bust and tassels around the hem, the actress turned heads with her racy outfit choice, one she completed with a pair of strappy black heels. Rocking her signature blonde locks up, Blake allowed some loose strands to frame her face, one she’d made up with a matte layer of foundation, plus plenty of rosy cheek blush.
Fans were unforgiving.
Told Dress Is Too Short For Her ‘Thighs’
Gaining over 400 likes was a fan saying: “Don’t like this look on Blake. A smidge longer would look way better. She looks like a showgirl.”
Agreeing, another wrote: “The after-party dress is too small.” Fans even went as far as to body-shame the mom of four, who tends to make headlines for her impressively slim figure. Over 70 fans agreed when a user replied:
“Blake’s dress to the gala was fantastic and such a surprise when it was unfurled to be blue. She looked stunning. This mini dress, however, does not suit her at all. He thighs are much too big for such a short dress.”
Blake wasn’t the only celebrity targeted for wearing a too-short minidress that night. Receiving similar feedback for her black minidress was 45-year-old Kourtney Kardashian.
Blake has since made headlines for her floral method dressing as she promotes her new It Ends With Us movie and embraces her on-screen Lily Bloom character, a florist.
The 2022 Met Gala was co-hosted by husband Ryan Reynolds, plus Regina King and Lin-Manual Miranda.
