Brittany Cartwright isn’t concerned about sleeping with Jax Taylor’s friend. The reality star recently sat down on Bravo’s Hot Mic Podcast to discuss all about Season 2 of The Valley. She also spilled a lot of tea about the state of her relationship with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Jax. One of the hottest topics surrounding Brittany and her relationship has been about a rumor that alleged she slept with Jax’s friend, Julian Sensley. The basketball player-turned-actor used to work for Lisa Vanderpump as a doorman at her bar, TomTom. That’s where he also formed a close relationship with Jax.
Although she didn’t mention Julian by name on the podcast, Brittany did admit to hooking up with Jax’s friend. She explained that she and Jax didn’t have a “no dating in the friend group policy.”
She continued, saying that she never “planned” to go after his friend. However, after Jax disregarded the rules they set up, which included “nobody around [our 3-year-old son] Cruz and nobody at our home that we own together,” Brittany began doing her own thing. “I was just so mad at Jax, so I didn’t care if I hurt his feelings,” she said. “Why should I care? He never cared about how he hurt my feelings for years.”
Brittany Doesn’t Think Jax Changed During His Stint in Rehab
One of the big things that led Brittany to file for divorce from Jax was his problematic behavior in their relationship. Vanderpump Rules fans will remember it from his earlier years on the show, but it reemerged during The Valley.
While filming Season 2, Jax spent 30 days in a treatment facility working on himself. However, Brittany doesn’t believe that helped him at all. During the podcast, she told Alex Baskin that she doesn’t feel Jax “changed at all in those 30 days.”
She continued, saying that Jax sent her a lot of “rage” texts despite being in therapy for “seven hours a day.” After seeing that Jax still found time to “call me names and cuss me out and send me rage texts,” Brittany said she realized Jax was likely never “going to change.”
Brittany, 35, said even her mother—who has always been a fan of Jax—said it was time for her to leave. “After she saw everything that happened leading up to this season, she’s just like, ‘No, you need to get away.'”
Does Brittany Ever Want To Get Married Again?
Since Brittany has been through quite the journey with Jax, the mother of one is still trying to decide what she wants in her future. When her interview on the Hot Mic Podcast turned to her dating life, the reality star said she’s open but not in a rush to make things happen.
“I’m open to anything,” she said. “I’ve always wanted more kids … if it happens, it happens.” Brittany explained that if she ever fell in love with someone again, she’d be happy with another child. However, considering “what I have to go through with this divorce right now [with Jax],” Brittany isn’t sure she’d ever get legally married again. But, if that were in the stack of cards for her, she’d want to do a “lot of things” differently, including signing a “prenup.”
Some watchers have voiced their opinions about Brittany and Jax’s relationship online, calling them “the two dumbest people in the world.” Another user also chimed in, saying Jax “has always been the problem” in his relationships with women.
It’ll be interesting to see what else happens between this pair on Season 2 of The Valley. In addition to their drama, fans will also see more of Kristen and Luke, along with Michelle and Jesse. Familiar faces, including Scheana Shay and Lala Kent, are also rumored to appear in the upcoming set of episodes. But until the time arrives, watchers can catch Season 1 on Peacock.
