Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Rights A Huge MW3 Mistake In Season 1

“Sev, what’s the plan?”

One thing that really hurt me more than the MW3 Campaign itself was the fact that the developers didn’t really follow the narrative in 6 consecutive seasons. From 2023 to 2024, the Modern Warfare storyline melted after Makarov did the unpredictable and then faded through a train somehow. However this year with the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 trailer, finally, the story of BO6 Campaign continues beside the bundles showcase festival.

Let me clarify this with one of the worst Seasons in the MW3 storyline. Season 3 of Warzone and MW3 was themed after Konni Group and Vladimir Makarov, allowing players to finally play as the ultranationalist villain. In its trailer, we got to see Makarov invading Rebirth Island, in a video that was promoting bundles more than anything of course, and then that was it. Wait, what? How? Why is Makarov there? Is anyone escaping the Rebirth Island’s prison? They didn’t care to answer.

The story of Call of Duty games is something that makes a huge difference between CoD and shooters like Counter-Strike and the last Battlefield titles. With Black Ops 6, the game got high numbers in reviews and the fans’ positive responses to the story of Case and Troy Marshall following Uncle Woods’ footsteps are phenomenal. The game has the biggest launch in CoD history already.

So even if players only play the Campaign once, it’s super important for the game mode to have a strong presence. The story is the bone structure of Call of Duty titles, and Black Ops 6 developers have taken this to their hearts with the narrative, characters, and engaging OSTs that play during the gameplay and cutscenes. And that, my friend, is to be continued.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 story focuses on what the CIA chief said by the end of the Campaign, “I want you in Avalon.” Pantheon, the evil group we were fighting in BO6 is now seeking handshakes with the crime lords, starting with Avalon.

Sevati Dumas, one of the main Black Ops 6 characters that were a part of The Guild before joining Marshall’s crew, is in charge of orchestrating a sabotage operation in Avalon. CIA wants info on Pantheon from the French Syndicate, and Sevati has made a deal to take down their rival family, the Luttazzi.

Now the one thing that really gets my head itching is that the French Syndicate was first mentioned in the Black Ops 6 Zombies story in the Terminus Island ending cutscene. As we know, the Zombies and Campaign narratives are happening in the same universe, which isn’t the best for both game modes; I’ve explained why in the article below.

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
