Steam Deck has gained huge popularity in recent years and many developers tend to make their game compatible and playable with its hardware as well. Nightingale is a PvE survival game that players will certainly enjoy to have the game with them anywhere they go, especially with the fact that Nightingale is an open-world game that consumes a lot of time.

Recently in a FAQ posted on the subreddit of the game, Inflexion Games, the developer of Nightingale, confirmed that they are working on making the game compatible with Steam Deck. That means that the game will receive an update for better performance after it is released.

Games are categorized into four categories for Steam Deck: Verified, Playable, Unsupported, and Unknown. It is safe to presume that at the time of release, Nightingale will be marked as Playable and eventually, Verified with one or two updates. Playable games on Steam Deck mean the game will run decently on the hardware but might have a few issues.

Comparing the system requirement of Nightingale on the Steam Page and the hardware of Steam Deck, it is safe to say that the game will run pretty well even without any special optimization for the platform. Although you might have to tweak the quality settings a bit. But the main struggle with playing the game will probably be constant internet connection since the game is an online co-op.

Nightingale will be released as Early Access for Steam on February 20, 2o24.
