Despite the high anticipation, Monster Hunter Wilds has one major issue regarding performance. After experiencing the first beta test, many fans realized that the high GPU requirements for the game are no joke. Numerous players have reported poor performance and low-quality graphics, which significantly hinder their gameplay experience. To address this issue, Capcom has promised to improve Monster Hunter Wilds‘ performance on PC before the release.

Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Germany X account recently posted an announcement stating that the team has addressed the rendering issues from the open beta test. In addition, the company plans to improve performance on PC and is even looking for ways to lower the recommended GPU requirements. “We are also planning to release a standalone, free hardware benchmarking tool,” Capcom said.

Unfortunately, despite hearing this good news, fans are very skeptical about Capcom’s promise. Many pointed out that the other open-world game from Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma 2, still has a horrible performance. Many believe the RE engine is not suitable for open-world games, and they highly doubt that Monster Hunter Wilds will launch in a good state on PC.

Some even stated that although they were looking forward to this game, they had no intention of purchasing it until a later date. “I ain’t paying $70 to be their play tester. I’d rather spend that money somewhere else,” one fan wrote on Reddit. Many agreed with this sentiment, stating that Capcom has launched many games with questionable performance at launch. The only ones that don’t suffer this fate are the Resident Evil games.

In addition to the GPU requirements, some fans hope that Capcom will lower the CPU requirements for Monster Hunter Wilds. “Tbh I’m more worried about the CPU requirements than the GPU,” another Redditor commented. “My 9900k is cooked.” Ultimately, we can only wait to see if Capcom can pull off this miracle. For those planning to purchase the game on PC, itโ€™s best to try the benchmarking tool that the company will provide.
