Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order announced earlier this week that their Construction and management simulation game, Cities: Skylines, would be getting another expansion this month. It’s time to clean up your act, with the Green cities pack.

Originally released back in 2015, Cities Skylines continues, and improves upon, the foundation built by the previous series Cities in Motion. After the critical failure of the 2013 SimCity game, Paradox Interactive took advantage, publishing the title to widespread success.

Cities: Skylines – Green Cities will be the sixth expansion since the game’s release, following “After Dark,” Snowfall,” “Natural Disasters, “Mass Transit,” and “Concerts,” in that order.

As the title suggests, the add-on will focus on disposing of pollution. It will add 350 new assets core to that goal, including a massive selection of new visual options, eco-friendly buildings, organic stores, and new parks and services. All at the mayor’s disposal.

As the urban population grows, players will have the ability to go completely green and create more diversified cities with new specialized options for zones. Enact a combustion engine ban or even require waste filtration for industrial buildings. Alongside all of these, new in game services, scenarios, and policies option will arrive with revisions to noise and ground pollution.

Cities: Skylines

Cities: Skylines will be released on October 19th, 2017 for Windows, MacOS, and Linux PCs for $12.99. It will also come with a free content update, which will supplement the base game with electric cars, road modding, a noise pollution overhaul, and varied changes to parks and trees.

Don’t forget to check out the trailer above for in-game footage, all set to in-game artist Lily la Roux melody. For more information, be sure to check back to the site for updates on Cities: Skylines – Green Cities, as well as all of your other Nerdy News and Needs!
