That said, a 71-year-old woman in Florida had an ‘itchy trigger finger’ and decided that a dad of two was the perfect victim. According to a Wakulla County Sheriff’s Department report via WCTV, this grandma ‘lured‘ a random father and his two preteen daughters to her, promising them that they could ‘fish in her pond.’
However, once they set foot on her property, the elderly woman whipped out a firearm and held the family at gunpoint. The reason? She allegedly believed the man wasn’t actually the girls’ father. And this wasn’t some suspicious-looking individual sneaking about with two underage children either. He was casually fishing with his daughters on a bridge near the grandma’s house when she devised a scheme to trick them into coming to her home before eventually threatening to shoot them.
Fortunately, the 71-year-old Florida woman’s roommate helped the family escape while the gun wielder was distracted. She’s now been charged with “three counts of kidnapping, three counts of aggravated assault, and one count of armed burglary.” Online users wondered why the woman didn’t just call the police if she actually believed the dad had kidnapped the girls instead of trying to play the “gun-toting hero.” One Redditor chimed in with a response, “That’s because she was an ammosexual looking for an excuse to point a gun at people, and even shoot them, and not actually concerned about the girls.”
“Wow, and they actually jailed her? Maybe Florida is not quite as batsh*t crazy as I thought,” another remarked. Regardless, whether she’s a wild MAGA gun owner or just plain hysterical, she’s now in a place that better suits her unhinged behavior: jail.
