The July 21 update has arrived forĀ CS: GO, and here are the changes and bug fixes that came with this patch. Today’s patch brings a few changes you could notice in the game, just like theĀ previous oneĀ we saw last month. Since the developers are focused onĀ Counter-Strike 2‘s release, we started seeing fewerĀ major updatesĀ forĀ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. BecauseĀ CS2Ā will get released as an update forĀ CS: GO, the team will include the major changes toĀ CS2Ā in theĀ limited beta. Even though there aren’t too many, the changes are still worth checking. Here are the patch notes forĀ CS: GOĀ update released on July 21.
CS: GO July 21 Update Patch Notes

Movement
- Fixed some instances of pixelwalks across all maps
Misc
- Slight adjustments to some Holo stickers
- Fixed a case where some match stats would be reported incorrectly at the end of the game
Maps
Overpass
- Updated some signage
- Adjustments to jumpable locations
- Adjustments for improved player movement
- Adjustments to wall-bangable locations
- Various bug fixes
As you see above, the changes are only corrections for the Overpass map and overall game assets. As we learned a few months ago,Ā Counter-Strike 2Ā update will be releasedĀ sometime this summer. We’re in the middle of summer, the most active season of online games.Ā
Considering that most of the bigĀ CS: GOĀ updates were released in the middle of summer, we could expectĀ Counter-Strike 2‘s release in a few weeks. That’s probably why we don’t see new features on the latestĀ CS: GOĀ updates, though we see new features on CS2’sĀ limited test. There’s a big expectation forĀ CS2, but the game engine’s revision is the biggest change. The new Source 2 engine will let the developers create amazing things in the future, so we should be excited aboutĀ CS: GO‘s long-term improvements.
CS: GOĀ is available on PC. For more information regarding this patch, please visit the official CS: GO site.
