Google Stadia made big waves when it was officially announced in March of 2019. A platform that can stream games, rather than have players buy expensive consoles and download patches, could be the future of gaming. And it seems like with every convention or trade fair comes news about Google’s venture into gaming. But at Gamescom 2019, they took the time to show off the reason anyone should be interested at all: the games.

Google announced several games both new and old for the platform during Gamescom 2019. These are Cyberpunk 2077, Mortal Kombat 11, Windjammers 2, Destroy All Humans, Kine, Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle, andย Superhot. Google also included teaser trailers for games that have already been announced. These includedย Doom Eternal, Borderlands 3,ย andย Watch Dogs Legion. You can watch the full Google Stadia Connect Showcase below:

In addition to all of these games, Google also announced a Stadia exclusive. Orcs Must Die 3 will only be available through the streaming service. The developers at Robot Entertainment only had good things to say about Stadia. They see Google’s streaming technology as the next big step in the industry. And it apparently has allowed them to fit as many orcs on screen as they want with no issues. As of right now, it is the only game definitively known to be a Stadia exclusive.

Orcs Must Die 3 Announced as Google Stadia Exclusive

Google had already spoken about release and spec information several times prior to Gamescom, so they wisely chose to have the Connect focus on the games. But it does briefly go over the previously announced Stadia Founder’s Edition. It will cost $129 and come with a controller, a Chromecast Ultra, access to Destiny 2ย and all DLC, and 3 months to Stadia Pro. This will give players access to all games available for Stadia and normally costs $9.99 a month. Stadia will be available on any device, whether it be a tablet or a smart TV. But it does mean you’ll need a strong internet connection to enjoy it.
