Arianne Zucker faces as much drama as her Days of Our Lives character Nicole Walker. In 2016, the actress was thrust into the spotlight during Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign. The former President made a cameo on the soap opera in 2005 and shared scenes with Zucker. To promote the special guest appearance, Trump and Arianne did an interview with Billy Bush for Access Hollywood.
Moments before the actress’ arrival, the two men made lewd comments about her. Trump even said he had “Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her.” The conversation was caught on tape and leaked to the press 11 years later. Trump apologized for his comments and Zucker tweeted a statement talking about self-worth, respect, and abuse of power.
While the star appeared upset at the time, it seems all may have been forgiven and forgotten.
Arianne Zucker Praises Donald Trump’s Political Contributions
Following the release of the tape, numerous women have come forward with allegations of harassment and assault against Trump. Despite the controversy surrounding him, he won the 2016 election.
With Arianne Zucker at the center of the tape scandal, many are curious about her stance on the former President. During a recent interview on the Miss Understood Podcast, the Daytime Emmy nominee had some surprising things to say about the politician.
When asked if she has a different opinion on him now, Zucker replied:
I don’t. I didn’t then and I don’t now. I think I’m…I’m very much, well…you know as far as, if we’re gonna…I really don’t like talking about politics, but as far as the way he speaks could he do a better job of it? Absolutely.
As for his Presidential term, the actress thought he did well:
Um, I think there are policies were great that he did. I’m sure our pockets felts a little bit better four years ago than they do now, I know mine did. And so, I think there are things about getting too much into that I felt were really great. I am not going to judge the system, I think people could probably hear the way I think by the things that I’m saying. But I’m very in the middle of what’s going on in this country and if this is the conversation we what to have, I feel like there is weaponization on both sides.
So now I’m looking at it from a different point of view, going, Donald Trump could be anybody right now and that’s what’s scary. So I think there is an attack, personally. But when it comes to the actual Access Hollywood situation, I feel the same way I did then the way I feel now. Because that to me, I didn’t want that to change my life.
Arianne’s praise of Trump is a surprise because the star’s current situation with Days of Our Lives. In February, the actress filed a lawsuit against the show’s production company alleging sexual harassment and wrongful termination.
Fans who were supportive are now turning on the star after her Trump comments. On X, commenters blasted the actress for being a hypocrite.
One disappointed fan wrote:
She just lost her case. And any fans she had left. What a fraud. #Days
Another user replied:
honestly shocked…this makes me so sad. how can she support someone like trump when she’s literally gone through abuse herself?
Another fan refused to support her:
I just unfollowed her & will NOT support any of her future projects…not getting any $$$ from me.
In this day and age, a person’s political beliefs come under scrutiny. Arianne Zucker’s support of Donald Trump makes a lot of her fans unhappy. However, as a voter she has a right to support whoever she chooses.
