A shiny new trailer has dropped for Dead Rising: Endgame, web-service streamer Crackle’s sequel to last year’s Dead Rising: Watchtower.

Crackle’s official synopsis for the film says Endgame will “drops us into the zombie-infested quarantine zone of East Mission City where investigative reporter Chase Carter must stop a secret government conspiracy which, though seemingly aimed at ending the countryโs zombie epidemic, will also kill millions of innocent civilians.”ย Much of the original cast will return to reprise their roles, such as Dennis Haysbert, Jesse Metcalfe, and Keegan Connor Tracy.ย Patrick Sabongui who was in Dead Rising: Watchtower will play a completely different character as “a skilled zombie killer and video game aficionado who talks a big and crude game to mask his gentle side.”
Endgame is directed by Pat Williams, known for his work in sci-fi television series such as Continuum and Smallville. It was co-written byย Michael Ferris, who has worked on several Terminator series, andย Tim Carter, who also worked on Dead Rising: Watchtower.
Dead Rising: Endgame will make it’s streaming debut June 20, on Crackle, and is based on the game franchise of the same name, by Capcom. Even though it will only be distributed digitally, Endgame is but one of the many movies based on video games to be released this year.
