Dead Space Remake: Marker Fragment Locations

In the Dead Space remake, there are Marker Fragments that you can only find the location of in the New Game+ Mode. You don’t have to collect them in order, but you must collect all of them before you begin Chapter 12, which makes it important to know where they all are.

Finding them can be pretty difficult, but that’s where we come in. In this article, we’ll talk about the 12 Marker Fragment locations in order and how to collect them.

  • Chapter 1
  • Maintenance Bay Office
  • Once you track the “Find the Data Board missions, follow the mission’s navigation into the Maintenance Bay
  • Head up the elevator and divert power to the Maintenance Room using the circuit
  • Head back down the elevator to the Maintenance Bay Office
  • Just before you collect the Data Board, look to your right and collect the Marker Fragment, a glowing purple object on the shelves, after using a melee attack on the shelf to knock the Fragment down

  • Chapter 2
  • Dr T. Kyne CSO Office
  • Destroy the Barricade that blocks the morgue
  • Track the mission that instructs you to Find a Shock Pad
  • Head into the Main Lab, then kill all enemies there
  • Once cleared, look for Dr. T. Kyne Chief Science Officer on map
  • Once you’re in the office, using your kinesis, shove the shelves to get into the hidden room and grab the Marker Fragment there

  • Chapter 3
  • Engine Room
  • Just after you obtain the mission step that instructs you to Manually Ignite the Engines, head up the Cargo Life, and you will find yourself in the Engine Room
  • Search for the alcove that is marked as Power Sub-Station 03
  • Head to the left a bit while facing the alcove and look into the dark area behind it, where you will find the Marker Fragment

  • Chapter 4
  • Break Room
  • Track the mission step that instructs you to Reroute Power from Electrical Systems
  • once you make it to the third floor of the Bridge, look for the Break Room on your map and head there
  • Inside the break room, the Marker Fragment will be sitting on the floor

  • Chapter 5
  • Dr C. Mercer’s Office
  • Track the mission step that instructs you to Life the Lockdown, which will take you to a smaller office that is Dr. C. Mercer’s office
  • Head inside the office, and you will find the Marker Fragment on the desk

  • Chapter 5
  • Cryogenics
  • Track the mission step that instructs you to Acquire the Liquid Nitrogen, right after collecting the last Marker Fragment
  • The mission will take you straight to Cryogenics, where you’ll have to pick up the Liquid Nitrogen
  • Before you pick up the Liquid Nitrogen, walk outside the Cryogenic Chamber and look above it, where you will find the Marker Fragment
  • Use your Kinesis to pull the Marker Fragment to you before collecting it

  • Chapter 6
  • East Grow Chamber
  • Before you Inject Wheezer 07, you should find yourself in a corner at the top deck of the East Grow Chamber
  • Using Zero Gravity, head to the opposite corner of the room, where you can find the Marker Fragment hidden in a small alcove

  • Chapter 7
  • Mineral Samples
  • Track the mission step that instructs you to Find the SOS Beacon
  • Just before you begin following the mission step’s navigation, look for a room that’s called Miner Samples
  • Head into the room, and you can find the Marker Fragment sitting on a shelf

  • Chapter 8
  • Communications Hub
  • After you take on the mission step that instructs you to Fix the Comms Array, you should be facing the Communication Control screen
  • Move to the left all the way, and the Marker Fragment will be hidden in a nook within the wall there

  • Chapter 10
  • Deluxe Quarters
  • Track the mission step that instructs you to Destroy Tendril in Deluxe Quarters, and head to the location after clearing the Quarantine Room
  • Follow the steps that take you back out to the corridor to power the Circuit Breaker, then head back into the Deluxe Quarters
  • To the South, you’ll find the Deluxe Shift Bunks room, which holds the Marker Fragment

  • Chapter 10
  • Inquiry Desks
  • Track the mission step that instructs you to Destroy the Tendril in Chief Steward’s Office and follow the tracker until you make your way to the Inquiry Desks location
  • The Marker Fragment will be sitting on a desk
• Marker Fragment #12
  • Chapter 11
  • Cargo Bay
  • Just before you being the Engage the Cargo Crane mission objective, head to the Southeastern corner of the Cargo Bay
