In past Souls games, multiplayer was huge, and it was a fun experience with friends or foes. But a question remains, in the 2020 remake of Demon’s Souls, is multiplayer still a thing like in past games? The answer is yes, and in this guide, we are going to find out how to play co-op with friends.

How to Play Co-Op in Demon’s Souls

In short, Demon’s Souls 2020 version’s multiplayer has a lot of features that will feel quite familiar to fans of the long-running series. There’s a co-op mode that will allow you to play with friends and some PVP systems that will allow players to invade your world like in past games.ย

Unlike traditional multiplayer co-op games, you are not going to be able to send an invite to your friend so they can join you. You instead have to use either Blue Eye Stones or Summon Signs. Blue Eye Stones will allow you to join another player’s game, and Summon Signs will allow another player to join you.ย

But, if you want to bypass this level requirement, head on over to the options menu and turn on password matchmaking. This will make it easier for you and your friend to play together and will prevent other players from joining your game.ย

If you want to active a Summon Sign, you will have to be in a human form, and for the Blue Eye Stone, you will have to be in a soul form. When you use the Blue Eye Stone, it will leave a sign for another player to activate to bring you into their game.ย ย

As a side note, make sure both you and your friend are around the same soul level, as the signs you are based on are limited on levels. You can also get your Blue Eye Stone by speaking to the Maiden In Black after beating Vanguard.

That’s everything on how to play co-op with friends in Demon’s Souls. We hope you found this guide useful, and if you did, be sure to share it to help someone else. Also, let me know how I did on this guide in the comments below. Be safe and have fun hunting demons!
