Today’s the day the Destroy All Humans! remake is ready to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Honestly, this is one game I never thought would get a remaster or remake — along with Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered. Crypto-137’s galactic conquest first started on June 21, 2005, and end up spawning three sequels: Destroy All Humans! 2 (October 17, 2006), Big Willy Unleashed (February 25, 2008), and Path of the Furon (December 1, 2008).

And here we are with Destroy All Humans! remake, getting ready to start the whole thing again… maybe?

Taking place in the 1950’s, in this game you take the role of the evil alien Cryptosporidium-137, who is tasked by his Furon superiors to gather Furon DNA inside human brains to save their race from cloning themselves to extinction. To complete your job you are equipped with many otherworldly weapons and abilities, ranging from but not limited to a Zap-O-Matic electric gun, psychokinesis, Disintegrator Ray, Anal Probe, and a flying saucer with Abducto Beam, to deal with those pesky humans who are trying to save their butts.

In case you’re still not sure to commit your wallet’s content into Destroy All Humans! remake you can try out the demo via the Steam page or GOG. The game itself is priced $29.99 for PC and $39.99 for consoles.

Along with the standard edition, Destroy All Humans! remake is also available in two more versions. The “Crypto-137 Edition”, featuring a Crypto-137 figurine, a Crypto backpack, keychain, six lithographs, an anti-stress toy, and all in-game Crypto skins, is priced at $399.99. While the “DNA Collector’s Edition”, featuring a Crypto’N’Cow figurine, keychain, six lithographs, anti-stress toy, and all in-game Crypto skins, packed in a premium box, is at $149.99
