However, rumors are flying that there could be a crack in their relationship. Especially since Lively’s messy and dramatic lawsuit scandal with her former It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.
According to a new blind item by Crazy Days and Nights, Taylor Swift may be trying to protect her image by distancing herself from Blake Lively. Rumor has it that Lively wanted to accompany Swift to the latest Kansas City Chiefs playoff game. Of course, to support the singer’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce. However, because of the drama surrounding Lively, Swift allegedly opted to take a pass on the offer to bring the actress along.
“This A-list actress wanted to attend the big game with her very popular friend this past weekend. The friend said no. A crack in the friendship or because it would have been a distraction?” the blind item read.
Taylor and Blake have been good friends for several years. Swift even serves as the godmother to Lively’s children. The star shares four kids, Betty, Ines, James, and Olin, with her husband Ryan Reynolds. Instead of having Blake by herself, Taylor was seen chatting up WNBA star Caitlyn Clark. The athlete sat with her in a private box as they enjoyed the Chiefs’ victory.

The speculation comes just days after Baldoni’s lawsuit against Lively dragged Swift into the drama. Although Taylor wasn’t named, it was clear that text messages between Justin and Blake alluded to both Taylor as well as Ryan. In the messages, Blake compared herself to the Game of Thrones character Khaleesi. She also referred to her bestie and husband as her “dragons.”
Of course, fans had plenty of thoughts on the possibility of Swift blocking Lively from the big game. Some believed that Taylor was simply trying to protect her own image. Others thought she may not have wanted Blake’s presence to be a distraction or take away from Travis’ spotlight. Others simply didn’t believe the piece of gossip.
