Does Bad Boys: Ride or Die Have a Post-Credits Scene?

Whatcha gonna do?

Will Smith (Men in Black) and Martin Lawrence (Big Momma’s House) are back in the fourth installment of Bad Boys, Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life), it follows Detectives Lowery (Smith) and Burnett (Lawrence) as they try to clear the name of the deceased Captain Howard (Joe Pantoliano). As it is a movie in a sizable franchise, you might be wondering if there are any extra scenes after the credits that tease a sequel. Unless you want to jam to the credits music, you can leave the theater as soon as the credits begin, because Bad Boys: Ride or Die does not have a post-credits scene.

The movie is nearly two hours long and ends near the water, so you shouldn’t feel guilty about running off to the bathroom as soon as the credits begin to roll. Of course, you can always stay and read the names of all the people who worked on the movie if you want to.

As for whether or not Bad Boys 4 sets up a sequel, Ride or Die didn’t need anything after the credits to set up a sequel it doesn’t need to set one up at all. While a Bad Boys 5 certainly wouldn’t be unwelcome, the franchise has never really teased the story of a direct sequel. The movies are more about what random case the Bad Boys happen to get into in Miami. While Ride or Die directly ties into Bad Boys for Life, and another entry could do the same, a tease isn’t necessary.

However, a blooper reel or some behind-the-scenes clips would have gone a long way. Bad Boys movies are fun! It would have been great to see some of what Smith and Lawrence got up to behind the scenes. No post-credits scenes are needed, but to cap off a fun movie with some entertaining on-set antics might have been a great idea. There could have been more of the ghostly Captain Howard sending off the movie.
