Does Echo Have a Post-Credits Scene? Answered

Should you stick around until the end of the credits?

The MCU’s bloodiest show has finally arrived, with all five episodes of Echo dropping on Disney Plus. The series is a spinoff of Hawkeye, following Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) after she shoots Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio). It explores her backstory before Hawkeye as she recovers in her hometown in Oklahoma and attempts to take over Kingpin’s empire. With both Kingpin and Daredevil (Charlie Cox) appearing in the show, it’s assumed that Echo will set up future MCU projects. So, you might be wondering if there’s anything after the credits of any of the episodes. Let’s see if Echo has a post-credits scene, shall we?

Don’t skip the credits when you get to the last episode, as the fifth episode of Echo entitled “Maya” does have a post-credits scene. However, the previous four episodes don’t have anything after the credits, so you’re free to binge without touching your remote. The episode ends with a note of gratitude from Marvel Studios to the Choctaw Nation for collaborating on Echo. Less than a minute of credits later, you will be treated to a post-credits scene with Wilson Fisk. We won’t spoil what happens here, but the scene does tee up whatever’s next for the Kingpin in the MCU.

None of the other episodes have post-credits scenes, although they could have used them. As for Fisk, it’s quite possible that Echo’s ending leads to Daredevil: Born Again, the upcoming Daredevil Disney Plus series. Because the scene does focus on Kingpin, his path could end up converging with any of the other street-level heroes like Spider-Man or Ms. Marvel. But, it does seem like a safe bet to say that the post-credits scene was teasing Born Again. As for Maya, her story wraps up fairly quickly and it’s unclear what’s next for her.

Embracing her heritage and finally tapping into her powers as Echo – which happens throughout the series – Maya could prove useful for any of the teams calling New York their home. We know that the Young Avengers are being formed thanks to The Marvels, while The Defenders are now fully in the MCU according to Disney Plus bringing the Netflix shows into the MCU timeline. It might be a while longer until we see Maya again, or get Daredevil: Born Again, but you can watch Echo on Disney Plus and Hulu now.
