Does Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Have Multiple Endings? Answered

Henry’s last ride

With so many things to do, dialogs to choose from, and different outcomes for most quests, many wonder if Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has multiple endings. In short, kind of. So far, I’ve only finished the game once, so I can’t really say there are “x number” of endings. However, from what I saw, there may be several variations to the ending that you can start working toward during the game’s final act. If you want to know a bit about them, we’ll go over some of the choices you can take or miss before reaching the game’s ending.

Choices That Change the Ending of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

So far, it seems that rather than having different endings in the way of, let’s say, Mass Effect 3 or Elden Ring if you’re younger, there are a few things that change how the final missions transpire. Also, before I delve into the specific details, here’s a massive spoiler warning. Anything I say after this point will contain heavy spoilers.

Reckoning Choices

While many missions in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 have different outcomes, Reckoning seems to be the one that truly affects how the ending plays out. This is the game’s penultimate quest, and while the main objective is quite simple, there are a lot of things you can miss if you only focus on securing the horses. Below, we’ll talk about at least two of the choices that change the ending.

Rescuing Samuel

After you leave Suchdol, Samuel and Henry will head toward Sigismund’s camp to steal horses. However, Samuel sneaks away and leaves Henry alone. If you decide to explore the eastern part of the camp, you’ll hear Brabant interrogating someone inside a barn. If you enter the barn through the ladder on the side, you’ll discover Brabant is interrogating Samuel. Here, you can choose whether to let Brabant go or kill him while also freeing Samuel in the process.

Finding von Aulitz

Another missable character is none other than Markvart von Aulitz, one of Henry’s nemesis. By now, you should know that the Dry Devil shot von Aulitz and wounded him at the start of the siege. However, von Aulitz stayed behind as the medics were treating his wounds. You can find Markvart inside the inn, which is right in the middle of the camp. To enter the building, you can either steal the key from the guard closest to the door or pick the lock. Once inside, you’ll get the option to kill him honorably, end him like a dog, or abandon him.

Taking Samuel With You

After rescuing Samuel during your encounter with Brabant, you might not see it, but there’s an option to carry him. If you do so, you can take him with you when you get the horses. Samuel will tell you to leave him behind, but there’s an option to actually rescue him from the camp, thus securing his survival. After the siege, you see Samuel alive and celebrating with everyone else.

Speaking With Your Parents

The final sequence of Judgement Day, the game’s final quest, gives you a different ending depending on your gameplay style and choices throughout Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Since I’ve only done one playthrough, here’s what happened to me:

  • When speaking to your parents in the dream, Martin will mention something if you killed some of the people Henry’s been looking to get revenge on since the first game. He’ll comment he, “wanted Henry to take a different path.”
  • There will be a few options where Henry can mention who is his ideal partner. In my case, I picked Katherine, but there are a few other options, too.
  • Your mother will also mention things regarding your playstyle. Since I went for a thief-like playthrough, Henry’s mom commented, “he acted like a criminal.”

In the end, Henry wakes up from the dream and can continue roaming the land. Radzig also mentions Henry has to deliver Hans to the wedding, but it is uncertain if that’s an indication of a third entry or just showing what Henry will do after the sequel’s event. Last but not least, Henry will return the game’s iconic sword to Radzig, so once you enter the post-game, you won’t have it anymore.
