During the press event, he suggested that Biden had delayed sharing this information. Trump described this as part of a broader pattern of concealment regarding Biden’s health. Trump also seemed to mix up the Gleason score, which measures cancer cell aggressiveness, with Biden’s cancer stage.
Biden has a Gleason score of 9, indicating aggressive cancer, and is at Stage 4, the most severe stage. However, Trump mentions that Biden’s cancer was at stage 9. Additionally, Trump commented on prostate cancer screenings, suggesting they are routine for everybody. He further insinuated that Biden officials were managing the office through the use of an autopen to sign documents. “I think that if you take a look, it’s the same doctor that said that Joe was cognitively fine. And that’s being proven to be a sad situation,” the president added.
Initially, Trump had expressed some grace upon hearing about Biden’s diagnosis. One more user reminded the president about his alleged “night trip to Walter Reed Hospital” in 2019.
This commenter promptly educated the public on how long it takes for cancer to advance to stage 4. They noted that the former president enjoyed the luxury of numerous physical exams during his tenure.
